- Cultivate the habits you need to weather transition at any stage of your personal or professional expat journey.
- Learn new skills so that you can move forward instead of spinning your wheels.
- Develop creative ways to solve the challenges that pop up again and again.
- Connect with your inner compass so that you stay on track (or get back on track) even when life or work goes off the rails.
- Get a better handle on your emotions even in the hard times.
- Tame your inner critic by learning ways to cultivate self compassion and insight.
- Live more mindfully no matter where you go.
If you're a counselor, coach, human resources professional, wellness professional or teacher and you work with expats, third culture kids (TCKs) or other highly mobile communities, these courses offer one-of-a-kind opportunities for you to learn how to support your clients during transition and beyond.
Above all else, at Learn with World Tree Coaching you will learn skills to help you cultivate a sense of home no matter where life takes you.
Why Learn with World Tree Coaching?
I’ve worked with individuals living outside of their home cultures for over 15 years. In that time, I’ve come to realize that the most important gift we offer ourselves is the opportunity to turn towards our experiences and learn from what we find there. This is the key to finding home even when it seems fleeting.
These courses feature some of the most important topics raised by my expat clients over the years. Topics like – creating boundaries, connecting with values and vision, and learning to become more mindful in high-stress, uncertain situations.
All of the programs draw from specific individual or group coaching programs or trainings in mental health, personal development, mindfulness and Personal Leadership that I've used in my direct work with expats and other globally mobile clients.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
WELCOME: Hi! I'm Jodi and I'm so glad you've found your way here! As an expat coach, mindfulness teacher and Personal Leadership Senior Facilitator I have the most wonderful job in the world. Every single day, I get to support globally mobile people as they develop the skills they need to succeed at every turn...no matter what life (or lost luggage) throws at them. This work brings me profound joy, love and gratitude and I am so honored to be able to offer these self-paced, online programs in recognition of the need for flexibility when you live a life on the go. I believe in you and I know - You've got this!
A BIT ABOUT ME: I'm originally from Austin, Texas, and have lived in Spain, Northern Ireland, the Dominican Republic, Madagascar and Japan. I'm a mom to three amazing third culture kids who I'm raising in loving and occasionally chaotic partnership with my husband (whose job takes us around the world). I love reading, writing, nature, running, cooking, dancing in the kitchen and dinner parties. I could spend hours talking with the people I love. Read my full bio here and learn more about my professional background here.
MORE FROM WORLD TREE COACHING: I'm the author of The Expat Activity Book: 20 Personal Development Exercises for Gaining Insight and Maximizing Your Potential Wherever You Are. I'm the co-author (with Leah Evans) of Kids on the Move: 25 Activities to Help Kids Connect, Reflect and Thrive Around the World. I also host a monthly expat video series called Everyday Expats and I blog here.
